There is also antique shops, Larners, an upmarket hickledy-pickedly department store with a great food hall, independent jewellers, fashion stores and quirky home shops. Tempting cafes and speciality food shops can prolong your stay.
Wells-next-Sea (25 minute drive) Shops are dotted amongst the narrow lanes of the town centre, along the Quay and up into Staithe Street, the main shopping street.
It bustles with shoppers and browsers, who are well served by a diverse selection of small and friendly shops selling everything from buckets and spades, books and paintings, to high end clothes and designer gifts. Stop by at Holkham Hall with its pottery and gift shops on the way.
Norwich (60 minutes drive) is a great city for shopping with its large pedestrian areas, original, independent shops, 6 day open-air market and spacious modern shopping malls. Dozens of independent shops bring an extra dimension selling everything from antiques to teddy bears.
Kings Lynn (25 minute drive) convenient and comprehensive, most of the major High Street names M&S, Sainsburys, River Island, HMV, BHS Debenhams, Argos and a market on Tuesday. Shopping-wise you could be in Norfolk or any major high street but reliable if you are seeking a specific item.
