HOUGHTON INTERNATIONAL HORSE TRIALS MAY 25-28 2017
The Houghton International Horse Trials is a major sporting event with international competitors, featuring the British leg of the FEI Nations Cup held on the 25th – 28th May 2017. International event riders, including Olympic medal winners will be competing over four days in the beautiful setting of Houghton Hall. Apart from the sport, there are shopping opportunities at the trade stands, and children's entertainment. And it is set against the beautiful background of the Houghton Hall Estate. Magazine Wood is a 15 minute drive from the event.
After gaining International status in 2007 the event now welcomes over 700 horses each year, including more than 350 International competitors. It hosts the only British leg of the FEI Nations Cup, a series where teams from as far afield as Australia and New Zealand battle it out to top the table come the final event at Boekelo, Holland, in October. In addition Houghton also hosts the U21 National Championships.
Camel racing for charity
Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) are the official charity for 2017. With a fun raising goal of £11million this year alone, the challenge is always to creat innovative of inspiring people to donate – and the EAAA have come up rumps again. Camel Racing!
