The Craft and Wood festival will take place over the Easter weekend at Sandringham Estate.

The fair showcases woodturners, craftsmen, local artists, designers, jewellers  and coppice woodsmen. Specialist wood demonstrations occur throughout the day completed by attractions.

The chainsaw carving area always draws a crowd and Sandringham will host an International chainsaw carving competition as well as daily speed carves with a chance to win your favourite carving at auction.

An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson celebrates the life and career of a man who has interviewed over 2000 of the most important cultural figures of the 20th and 21st centuries.The legendary, and now former BBC light entertainment interviewer, who has questioned a huge array of stars from Billy Connolly and Peter Sellers to Les Dawson and Muhammad Ali.

With a career that spans five decades, Parkinson certainly has plenty of stories to tell. Chatting to his son and long-term producer Mike, the first half sees the 83-year old talk about his early career, from his first ever TV interview with a young aspiring musician named Mick Jagger, to the launch of his talk show Parkinson, where he interviewed the likes of George Shearing, Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson, Fred Astaire and Bing Crosby.

The best material is, of course, the footage and stories we haven’t seen or heard before. A tale of drunken night out in which Dudley Moore forces Parkinson to sing Moon River in front of a packed London bar is re-enacted on stage with the help of singer/songwriter Joe Stilgoe. Previously lost footage of Parkinson interviewing John Lennon inside a giant sack – at the instance of Yoko Ono after he asked a question about The Beatles – is also played on the big screen, as the award-winning broadcaster holds his head in shame.

 The second half focuses on the many stars whose careers Parkinson helped to launch, most notably Jamie Cullum, Michael Bublé and Diana Krall. Here, Parkinson also shares some material from his 2012 show for Sky Arts, including a clip of when he put Elton John’s song writing skills to test by asking him to improvise a song about the overflowing River Thames, a test which is later given to Joe Stilgoe who is given his own audience-inspired medley to improvise.

Holkham Hall is among the most visited estates in the area. Watching a movie in the incredibly beautiful garden, under the stars surrounded by lush greenery is an awesome experience.

A few times a year The Gin Trap host their increasingly popular Gin Festivals or ‘Gintastic Extravaganzas”. Whilst Gin does take centre stage there is live Music and a BBQ. A happy mix of locals and visitors makes up a lively crowd and it does get extremely busy so you need to go with a sense of humour (or drink a lot of gin!). Ringstead is a 5 minute drive from Magazine Wood.

The Gin Trap Inn is a traditional and cosy 17th-century coaching inn and has a long and colourful history. It has been a public house since 1668 and the date 1667 can be found on one of the walls of the former farmhouse. Clearly ahead of it’s time and now the natural choice for somewhere to sample their selection of over 100 gins from all corners of the globe.

The Urban Soul Orchestra conducted by Stephen Hussey return for another sell-out performance of classic Ibiza anthems under the stars, with live DJ and vocalists.

​​This will be Norfolk’s biggest dance party of the Summer full of iconic Ibiza anthems. A chill-out set in the first half will be followed by a half hour interval with the DJ playing the latest Ibiza tunes.

​​As dusk falls, the lasers will hit the Blickling skyline as the Urban Soul Orchestra return to bring some of the best of the White Island’s dance tunes to orchestral life. The track-list packed full of some of dance music’s most iconic anthems. Performed by The Urban Soul Orchestra, DJ Goldierocks and a host of live vocalists, the gig is split into two halves - starting with a chill-out set followed by a series of dance-floor fillers. The first set starts at 8pm followed by an interval with DJ Goldierocks at 9pm before the second set at 9.30pm. The concert is expected to finish at around 10.45pm.

The dawn flight of tens of thousands of pink-footed geese from Iceland and Greenland leaving their night time roost on the Wash is one of THE best nature spectacles in Europe.

The arrival of the Pink-footed Geese in Norfolk has come to herald the start of the Autumn and Winter season for many bird-watchers and nature lovers. Every year this unique bird visits our shores in greater numbers with thousand blackening the winter sky as they head to their night roost.   Their numbers increase steadily throughout October, and by the end of November most of the geese will have arrived. The Pink-footed Goose is not only attracted to Norfolk for the Brancaster mussels or Cromer crabs, but for a rather less well known delicacy - the sugar beet. By February most will be returning home to their breeding ground in Spitsbergen, Iceland and Greenland.

The sight of tens of thousands of geese taking off and landing en-masse is one of Norfolk's natural wonders.

Hunstanton Cliffs is the perfect spot for a Guy Fawkes night celebration and the fireworks are big, loud and go on and on and on! They say that nowhere are the skies bigger than in Norfolk but these fireworks do a great job at filling it. Doors open at 5.30pm and the  giant bonfire before is lit at 6pm. The main firework display kicks off just after 7.30pm.

Food stalls, a fairground, children's entertainment and a bonfire will accompany the fireworks display and it is worth getting there in good time as this is one of the largest and most popular in the area. If you are looking to book a meal afterwards then reserve early.

The Thursford Christmas Spectacular has become one of the most anticipated festive events in East Anglia, having attracted audiences from across the country since opening on Christmas Eve 1977. This year alone has seen more than 112,000 visitors from across the world entertained by 65 musical numbers. Fantastic sets and colour, the choreography, the singing and dancing, and a very special ‘Christmassy’ atmosphere. The show has a 130-strong cast and has a budget of £1.8m, and there is so much happening on the huge stage that it is  hard to decide what to focus on. The overall effect is quite breath-taking.

From rock ‘n’ roll, showtunes, the can can and carols, the Vegas-style variety show is Europe’s biggest Christmas performance, with a budget of £1.8m. Each year the family-run Thursford Collection serves up 35,000 mince pies, almost 19,000 mulled wines and 24,000 tubs of ice cream
